Do you love Hiking and Adventures?
Welcome to the Chicago Hiking, Outdoors, & Social Meetup Group. We strive for adventures, fun, and friendships. This group is for people who enjoy hiking, being outdoors and meeting new people. We feature hikes for all skill levels, canoeing, camping, biking, social gatherings and other outdoor activities. These events are a great way to get out, meet people, and smell some fresh air. If you have a suggestion, please feel free to contact the Organizer or post them on "ideas for meetup" on the calendar page. Most of the activities are pretty tame, but any participation in this group is at your own risk. If you want to meet fun and adventurous people, this group is for you. Come join us. It will be an adventure you won't soon forget.
Adventures are closer than you think!
---------------------------------------
Get Involved:
We need Assistant Organizers and Event Hosts! If you don't see your preferred activity listed or a hike on your side of town, please volunteer by contacting the Organizer! You might be surprised just how many people are looking to do the same activity that you are. Other ways to volunteer would be a Greeter (Greet new members as they join the group.) or Monthly News Letter Editor (Write articles for a Monthly News Letter to be published on the message board.). We welcome Event & Group Sponsors who need some publicity for a great price!
Why not become a Hike Leader?
---------------------------------------
Monthly Photo Contest:
We are having a Monthly Photo Contest. You have 1 month to upload your favorite photo. At the end of the month, the Assist Organizers will pick the top 12. We will then have a poll for voting on these 12. The members will be able to rate each picture from 1 to 10 rating. The photo with the highest ratings at the end of this month will win. This photo will then be used as the open page picture for following month. The only thing you receive are bragging rights.
Upload January Photos Here: http://www.meetup.com/ChicagoHOS/photos/799681/
Please name the photo and leave a comment about the photo.
So why not amaze the rest of the members with you photography skills?

100 Miles Club and 200 Miles Club:
Are you looking for a Goal to reach? We have two clubs for you. You join the 100 Miles Club when you reach 100 Miles hiking a year with this group only (Chicago Hiking, Outdoors, & Social Meetup Group). You join the 200 Miles Club when you reach 200 Miles hiking a year with any Meetup Groups (Windy City Hikers, this group, etc.). Your Meetup Names will be posted in the About Section in this group.
Let's start counting those miles!
---------------------------------------
Dues and Fees:
There are no membership dues to be part of this group. For prepay events, we will sometimes add up to three dollars, normally 1 to 2, to the payment to help out with the Meetup.com monthly fees.
For other events, example hikes, we suggest a 1 or 2 dollar donation at the start of the event. This is totally voluntary. No records will be kept for who donates and who doesn't.
If you want to make a voluntary donation. Go to the top of this page and click on "Pay Online". Enter the amount you would like to donate. Donate any amount you like. This will be paid with Paypal.
We would personally prefer if people would donate their time as an Assistant Organizer or Hike Leader versus making a donation of money. Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you!

Exploring the culture and night life of Chicago can get expensive.
This is a meetup group for things a little more on the inexpensive side- a great for parties, discount theatre tickets, bar discounts, free billiards nights, free days at museums, trips to the zoo, etc.
The less expensive it is to go out, the *more* we can all get together!
We'll see if we can get group discounts to some events, explore some "free days" at museums, go visit cheap greasy spoon diners, throw parties, etc.
If you can get cheap tickets to events from somewhere, or know of free passes/events/days at a given venue, let me know! I'll be regularly posting such time/links/venues, so everyone knows their event options, even if it's not an "official" event yet.

The Chicago Lean Startup Circle is a group of smart and driven high-tech entrepreneurs that have learned how to discover customers and build products they want.
Lean Startups (which can include for profit and not for profit organizations, new product/innovation organizations within larger companies and even government agencies) achieve success faster than most because they get out of the building to talk to customers, validate business model assumptions as quickly and cheaply as possible, use agile development to decrease time to market and leverage continuous deployment to learn as fast as possible.
Our mission attracts the brightest entrepreneurs in the Midwest and beyond and help them reduce risk and find a path to success. Our guest speakers like Eric Ries, Mike Evans, Brant Cooper, Patrick Vlaskovits and Troy Henikoff share their stories and techniques so we can all learn from each other.

The Creative Social Club (CSC) is the largest multi-disciplinary, eclectic Meetup Group dedicated to the arts in Chicago, organized exclusively to facilitate socializing and the shared enjoyment of life. Comprised of current and aspiring creative professionals, creatively oriented individuals, and enthusiasts of human creativity, the CSC meets regularly to celebrate diverse expressions of the human experience – encompassing visual arts, literary arts, performance arts, and more – while taking advantage of the exceptional social, cultural, and entertainment amenities that Chicago offers as a world-class city. Nearly shut down when its Founder left the group in July 2009, the CSC has grown to over 1,000 members with over 50 Meetups, excellent ratings, and positive reviews.
Although our members include a core of accomplished creative professionals, participation in the Creative Social Club is strongly encouraged for any individuals who have a healthy appreciation for human creativity and enjoy socially and positively engaging other people who share the same passion. Members tend to be smart, sociable, laid back, and happy people. Along with its sister group, the Good Times Institute (GTI), the CSC endeavors to be "well-organized and relaxed", with "fun, friendly, smart people to be around", as described by one of our group reviews. We try to do things just a little differently from other Meetup Groups – more personal, less formal/reverent, unconventional, and innovative/risk-taking. Membership is FREE as Meetup is our labor of love, and we are also cost-conscious in organizing Meetups with starving artists in mind. For a more detailed description including an overview of the variety of Meetups we organize, click here. See the video below for a fun moment from one of our Meetups.
Our motto is "Be Creative. Be Social". If you are worried that you are not creative enough to join, just be more social. And remember: Membership in the CSC is free, but you only enjoy its full benefits if you participate.
Welcome to the Creative Social Club!

We'll be meeting up to see shows by interesting bands at smaller venues like the Vic, the Riv, Metro, the Empty Bottle, etc. Members can suggest bands they've heard, heard about, or even just heard of. The plan is to have some fun listening to indie rock, discover stuff we may not have heard before, and meet some new people.

www.last.fm which features a library of music from live acts that have performed at past and future meetups-- "loved" songs are from the OMG Have You Heard This Song? thread. Meetup attendees can also follow last minute venue, time, and line-up changes on twitter-- follow us on

Welcome to The Chicago Loop Happy Hour group! My name is Bryan and I am your humble Happy Hour facilitator.
The Loop Happy Hour group is a unique meetup group created to provide singles and socialites with a fun after-work opportunity to meet people and make friends while exploring the Loop's drinking establishments--all 72 of them! (But we won't technically limit ourselves to the Loop. There are some great places a few blocks North of Lake, West of Wells, East of Wabash, and South of Van Buren.) Events will rotate from bar to bar, focusing on those with Happy Hours or drink and nosh specials, when available. For our suburbanite friends, we promise you'll have such a great time, you'll miss your Metra train.
Cheers!

BREAKING NEWS Jan. 16. Francesco "Cheech" Barbaro wins the 2010 Quad-States Mixed Games Poker Championship, surviving a field of the region's most experienced poker veterans in a marathon 14 hour tournament. For more on the story, visit: http://www.ChicagoPokerNews.com
Three Title Bracelets (SEE PHOTO ABOVE) will be on the line Jan. 15 & 16 as players from around the world meet for Chicagolands most prestigious championship poker series. The Quad-States Poker Grand Championships are sanctioned by Chicago Poker News as the Official Championship of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Both a No-Limit Texas Holdem event and a Mixed Games (No-Limit HOSE) event are scheduled. Title bracelets will be awarded for the champion of each of these tournaments and to the player with the highest overall average finish for both events. All tournaments will be double-elimination style with one optional re-buy and/or add-on available. Chicago Poker News publisher Stew "Chicago Mike" Bishop describes this structure as "truly a championship... double elimination tests a players ability to come back from the felt... the great players have that talent... effectively, to win these titles you will have to 'beat everyone twice'..."
The Quad-States tournaments are among the highest-percentage payout structure, offering over a 90% prizepool payout at full buy-in & rebuy in addition to trophies and the coveted Championship Title Bracelets. "The payout percentage for these tournaments is about as high as it gets", said Bishop, "... gamblers can do the math and recognize the value here..."
Despite the popularity of the Texas Holdem Event, Bishop advises players not to overlook the Mixed Games Championship: "... Texas Holdem gets alot of attention these days, since Chris Moneymaker won the WSOP in 2003...", says Bishop, "... I've been managing poker events almost 20 years now, I can tell you absolutely, without question, the number one way to improve your poker game is to play Mixed Games. It's like an athlete needs to cross train, a poker player needs to play all the games if they want to get to the top... that's one reason Chicago Poker News recognizes this series as the 4-State Championship, because it offers both Texas Holdem AND Mixed Games, and it offers a great payout..."
A special hotel room rate will be available to players at the event. See calendar page for complete details.
Chicago is legendary for the warmth and hospitality of it's citizens and players will appreciate the professionalism and courtesy of Poker Manager Dom Niro and the entire tournament staff at the Majestic Star.
On behalf of a great city and a great venue, the Chicago Poker Meetup Group wishes all players the very best of success at the Quad-States Poker Grand Championships and we'll see you at the final table!

This group is for German speakers of all levels. Even non-german speakers, but those who are interested in learning or just the culture. There are more than monthly meetings!
Welcome to the Chinese (primarily Mandarin) Meetup Group.
This is a small organization built by people with a common interest (Chinese) to meet each other, share thoughts on China, speak Mandarin, find language partners, find classes, and share stories and resources for people who plan on going to China.
Welcome Meditators of All Schools & Experience Levels. The purpose of this group is, as the Buddha said, to seek out "wise & beneficial friends" who support us and our Meditation practice. Namely we are looking for a group of beginning & advanced students, and anyone interested who is willing to learn, to motivate each other by coming to (and becoming a regular part of) a weekly sitting meditation group. All teachers agree: The key to a successful meditation practice is a regular practice; and therefore this group is looking for people who realize the benefits of meditating together and who want to make a dedicated effort to sustain a once-weekly meetup for sitting meditation (with instruction, as needed). Brief discussion & mingling follows. This group is open to all schools of thought and meditation formats, and also for anyone willing to co-organize or suggest events. The development of Wisdom through regular meditation practice can lead to a decrease of "suffering" as well as an increase in Inner Peace and Compassion for oneself & others. Please join us, you are most welcome.
Meet, network, socialize with and get to know other single professionals near you! Come to the New Single Friends Meetup and develop new friends...and maybe more!
We generally host 4-6 social events in Chicago and the suburbs each month for singles in their early 30s through early 60s. These include cocktail parties, theme parties and dances, "big game" gatherings and other low-key social events. Attendance varies widely by event, from anywhere around 20 singles to over 200 singles. It is a great way to meet and get connected!
The Incredible Healing Powers of Raw (Living) Foods and Juices are the fastest way to restore wellness. Support in this lifestyle choice is essential for success. Let's support each other by gathering and sharing food, thoughts, events and activities that foster a sense of community.
Please, please, please, if you would like to be an active part of this community, join as an assistant organizer. get involved! Attend and enjoy!
Team planning meetings will be held twice a year so a calander can be set. Every member with something to share is welcomed and encouraged to share it!
Meet others in your local area that are interested in exploring the cultural treasures of Chicago. If you have a curious mind, an appetite for learning, and enjoy the thrill of discovery, this is a group you will enjoy. Join us as we explore all that makes Chicago a world class city.
This group is open to anybody, male or female, going through divorce, separation or, in general, through a challenging breakup. People find it hard to make the first step to come to a meeting and often comment afterwards how they had wished they came months ago. We generally function as an open forum where people can vent their feelings and frustrations, ask questions of each other and generally share their commonalities. You are not the only one who feels like this.
Our members are of all ages and come from all walks of life. Some members have huge support networks, others not so much. Some are the vistims of abuse or infidelity. Whoever you are and whatever your story, you are more than welcome.
We generally meet once a month at a bar in the Chicago Lakeview area to discuss our situations and help each other in any way we can. As our membership continues to grow there has been some discussions about having a second meeting every month during the week or in a different location. Suggestions are always welcom.
As the name implies, this is a support group, not a single's mixer. Meetup has some great single's groups, but we are not one of them. That is not to say we don't have a good time.
This is a group where you can improve your English (ESL), practice English Conversation and make friends. We encourge you to find study partners, network and have fun.
Member run and organized through the volunteer participation of like-minded adventurers. Meet other local outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy Chicagoland and beyond. In addition we'll have whitewater rafting, canoe and kayak events. In the winter we can offer a few ski events and whatever the membership proposes. Please get involved by making suggestions for meetups or joining the leadership team.
Started out as a seasonal group, to pass the winter with new friends out and about at dining and cultural events in the city. By popular demand, the season has been extended! The group is centered around dining in Chicago, but extends to other cultural social events in the city. The dining focus is on finding the best combination of fine food at prices reasonable enough to attend these as often as you can. That means a selection of BYOB's, events on specials night at some of the best restaurants in the city, an Around the World in Chicago dinner series highlighting new ethnic restaurants, and then some events that have less to do with food and more about exploring culture in Chicago! Come discover new restaurants, enjoy delicious meals and make satisfying conversation with friendly dinner companions. It's a big dinner table and all are welcome!
Meet other local JavaScripters to network, share knowledge, to review the state of the art, or to dream up new applications. Meetups are free (as speech and beer) while we have the corporate sponsor.
Past talks and other member information is posted on our blog:

Meetups are structured as two consequential sessions with networking opportunities planned after each session. First session targets members who are new to JavaScript, the next session being for advanced presentations.
Anybody on the job market, please, read the http://www.meetup.com/js-chi/messages/5067572/ email and follow the directions.

Online marketing is more than just selling stuff on eBay!
In fact, online marketing has finally come to the forefront, as companies big and small discover the value of shifting more of their marketing budgets online. Online marketers have proven that you can generate more leads and deliver more sales than traditional marketing--with higher ROIs and lower CPAs.
But online marketing is a rapidly developing arena, with specialties now evolving as fast as new opportunities and technologies emerge. Whether its email marketing, web analytics, affiliate marketing or optimized copywriting, you can see the growth in the explosion of acronyms, from ESP (email service providers) and SMM (social media marketing) to SEO (search engine optimization) and PPC (pay per click).
It's heady times for online marketers. But it can also be challenging times. That's why we created this Meetup group.
This is a forum where online marketing practitioners and experts can learn, share and network. Whether you're on the marketing staff of a large company or a boutique agency, whether you're using online marketing for your small start-up or to build up your side business, this group is for you.
Our mission is simply to help each other grow in this exciting, burgeoning field...and have some fun while we're at it.
Our meetings will generally be on the last Tuesday of each month, barring conflicts with holidays or local teams making it deep into the playoffs. The first half of our monthly meetups will typically consist of a presentation; the second half will be open Q&A. Networking opportunities are encouraged before and after; so bring your business cards.
If you're interested in presenting on a topic, please drop us a line. There's no cost to join this group, but we will request a $3 donation at events to offset expenses and compensate guest speakers.
If you're serious about sharpening your online marketing skills, we look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events.

Welcome to the Chicago Adventure Travel Club!
Simply put, this group is for people who want to make friends and travel the world.
The group tries to Meetup locally in the Chicago area to bring adventurous people together to talk about where weve been and where we dream of going with the ultimate goal of traveling to amazing and adventurous places around the world with a group of other liked-minded people (see our events).
As much as we are looking to find other adventurous people to travel with, we love getting together face to face with members from our community to visit local restaurants, grab a social drink together in one of the local bars or maybe even a hike or a walk at a local park.
So come join us and live the adventurous life youve always dreamed of.
We are a combination of long time Chicago residents and new transplants although the majority of people who attend are by far new residents, which is why this group was created! Please feel free to join us at one of our events and meet new people! P.S. Before you request to join this group please read the "about us" section concerning posting your photo. Thank You!

Ever walk around the neighborhood and meet a new dog and it's owner, but then realize you remember the dogs name, but not the owners? Our group is for getting together with others in the city who have friendly, social dogs and who want to do fun things with others and their dogs. My wife and I live in the West Loop and have a 5 year old male pug and and 2 year old female rotty. They are both very friendly and want to make new friends. We are both professionals and enjoy making new friends as well, and any fun time that tires out both of our pups while letting us socialize and make new friends is the perfect day.
Don't Be Afraid of the WordPress Bully!
WordPress websites are like little children. They even have a Child Theme capability built in! Most parents hate when their "child" becomes afraid and full of fear after getting pushed and shoved around by the big Bully.
When you attend 1-Day WP Workshop each presenter will help you overcome the fear of learning WordPress. But that's not all. You'll save $1,500 - $2,500 by not having to pay expensive web designers to setup your WordPress.
Why not empower yourself in 2012 to take control of your website?
Update content when you want, even from your mobile phone or iPad tablet.

Our group is here to explore what this city has to offer! We are between the ages of 25-50 years old. Events are anything from visiting an art gallery for a little culture, wine tasting event to enrich the palate, fabulous dinners, a girl's night out at one of the local pubs for some mingling, a day of shopping or a fashion event, get together for some relaxation and pampering at the Spa, enjoy a movie and lunch, meet up for a nice happy hour work, gather for a game night, attend some professional networking events to share your various career talents, strengthen the core with some fitness classes, dance lessons, work heath and wellness classes, single ladies attend some speed dating events, check out Plays, Concerts, etc … the list goes on and on!!!
Participation is key! We all have busy lives so you are not expected to attend everything but if you do decide to RSVP for an event, please make sure you go to the event. If something comes up and you are no longer able to attend, that's okay, just update the RSVP so we do not expect you and worry!
BEFORE YOU JOIN THIS GROUP you are to read and agree to the following terms and conditions. By being a part of this network you publicly acknowledge that you understand and completely agree to the following: 1. This is an online social network which meets periodically in person. This Meetup group is not a substitute for competent, professional climbing instruction from an American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) certified instructor. If you are looking for a qualified rock climbing instructor, please visit Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School http://www.FoxMountainGuides.com. 2. What goes up, must come down. Falling is a part of climbing. Falling is considered by those participating in the sport of rock climbing to be an accepted risk. Sometimes a fall could leave you injured or dead. Again, the consequences of a fall, no matter how severe, are an accepted risk to the climber and belayer. If you get hurt during an event posted on this website, it is completely your responsibility. You are not to blame anyone else! BY JOINING THIS GROUP YOU ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR SAFETY, HEALTH, AND WELL-BEING WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. 3. The Organizer, Assistant Organizers, Members, and Sponsor of the Chicago Rock Climbing Meetup Group do not guarantee the competence of any individual. IF YOU DO NOT WHOLEHEARTEDLY AND COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, THEN YOU ARE ALTOGETHER DISCOURAGED FROM AND IN NO WAY INVITED TO JOIN THIS GROUP. Now that the heavy stuff is understood, we do encourage those who agree to the aforementioned terms and conditions, and who have a hint of courage, to join this group. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn an incredibly challenging, dangerous, and rewarding sport. This particular group is made up mainly of those with minimal experience. It is used as a way to meet new people and try new things within the sport of rock climbing. We learn together. Being in Chicago, most of our events take place indoors at manufactured climbing facilities. Our outdoor trips are usually to Devil's Lake in Wisconsin and Red River Gorge in Kentucky. (About 200 and 400 miles from Chicago respectively.) Most outdoor trips are lead by AMGA (http://www.amga.com) certified instructors. These trips usually require an investment of under $80 and include all the equipment you will need for rock climbing. Happy climbing!

Inspired by the crazy group on How I Met Your Mother... We're a fun, rowdy bunch… Think... that big, random group of crazy friends in college that always had the best stories. We're 25-40 mostly, men & women, gay, straight, single, coupled… as long as you can hold your own at a Karaoke bar, tell a good dirty joke or pull the crazy answer to that final trivia question out of your a**, you'll fit right in.
I have a feeling you'll enjoy Bros & Chicks if... You find the only word in the Urban Dictionary (see below) to describe platonic friendships between men and women ABSOLUTELY ridiculous, yet somehow still entertaining (Thank you Barney Stinson), you're looking to expand your social circle with cool men and women, keep it fresh, have some random adventures and explore all the free(ish) fun this city has to offer.
Strictly Social is all about helping people build fun, platonic friendships on the cheap, enjoying Chicago culture and building an open accepting community to help foster the fun. We encourage an entertaining, laid back, open environment where people can come hang out, escape the voracious singles scene, and just be themselves. Obviously, if members develop something more than friendships, that's awesome, but we encourage members to think of this as an escape from the dating and networking scenes.
*Note* Events will always range from free to under $10 for the activity (booze not included).

Welcome to Healthy Chicago Group. We are a walking group that have 3.5-5 miles (on average) walks through different neighborhoods in Chicago's Northside and vicinity on a weekly basis. We always end walks where we start. Come out for some exercise and meet some new people. Thanks for your time!

Hi, I am Vanessa Moses the creator and founder of The Cooking Chicks! We are a community of professional women who love to eat, create, cook and share our love of food! Whether you like to cook or want to learn or just like to eat - our group was created to inspire and connect talented home cooks, chefs, food entrepreneurs and anyone who calls themselves "Foodie" - we just ask you always come hungry!
I honestly always loved to entertain but actually hated cooking - crazy for some to believe, right?! But something hit me 2 years ago when all of a sudden I got inspired to just try and cook! I grew up in a home where dinner was ALWAYS ready so I never had to think about what was I going to eat. But now that I have been on my own in Chicago for 9 years and recently married to an avid cook I thought let's give it a try!
I realized over time cooking was my outlet and relaxation from the stress of my full-time real estate career. Cooking for me has become a burning passion and sincere love. Since starting The Cooking Chicks in March 2010, I have not only gained amazing skills and cooking ideas but each and every "Cooking Chick" I meet inspires me to keep this going and perfecting my skills as well as growing my recipe box!
I hope The Cooking Chicks can bring you something - whether it be sharing your talents and coveted tips and recipes, to making friends, and growing your food lover network!
WELCOME!
LIVE CHAT Every Morning with our online "Coffee Klatch" Then meet these people in real life and you will feel like you have known them as your buddies forever. We go out drinking coffee, experiencing the great coffee shops in Chicago; sometimes grabbing a dessert along the way.
Let me conclude by saying,
WE ARE SOME OF THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE WHO ATTEND MEETUP EVENTS!!! Yes,
you will feel included, yes you will be encouraged to join into the conversations... Yes, you

WE in the Midwest , and especially in the Chicagoland area, often feel adventure challenged. There are no big mountain, canyons, deserts or other interesting topography to challenge us. And in an urban/suburban area like ours, places of pure solitude are few and far between. But we are blessed with one resource, water! There are lots of rivers, lakes, large and small, and other bodies of water nearby such as Lake Michigan, the Fox River, the Des Plaines River, the Chicago River, and many others, just waiting to be explored. WE can paddle in urban, suburban and rural areas and enjoy what each has to offer. Besides, adventure is much more about what you do then where you go. If you enjoy being on the water as much as we do, then kayaking might just be what you're looking for. Its what ' floats our boat' so to speak, and when one is out on the water you can enjoy the company of other kayakers, revel in nature, or just paddle off in your own little dream world. Kayaking is a great way to get away from it all, and is an excellent form of exercise.
Our kayak club is filled with members of all abilities and interests and there are as many reasons why we paddle as there are members.
We've done many events from the sharing and testing of others' kayaks, to camping excursions, to socials, to coordinating racing events. We have kayaked on the mighty Great Lakes, the Mighty Rivers, and the small streams and inlets of forest preserve and lagoons. We promote safety awareness, avocation for paddlers, environmental issues, and education.
- Meetup site is non-profit , and is solely based with the intentions of introducing and coordinating paddlers. Though we do not require any membership fees, please keep in mind that there is a monthly service fee to maintain the site. Membership Donations are appreciated. =) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Let me conclude by saying,
WE ARE SOME OF THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE WHO ATTEND MEETUP EVENTS!!! Yes,
you will feel included, yes you will be encouraged to join into the conversations... Yes, you

LIVE CHAT too! Meet People Interested in Dining Out & Social Events. Break bread with fellow foodies, visit interesting venues--theater events, movies, bars/dance clubs, karaoke, comedy shows, bowling, musical & theatrical productions, sight seeing/architectural tours, etc. Learn to create new meals and desserts when we offer our Cooking Classes! Discover new restaurants, enjoy delicious meals and make satisfying conversation with friendly dinner companions. It's a big dinner table and all are welcome!
This group is intended for interesting folk with a playful spirit--those who like or NEED to cut loose every now and then and have some fun. It is for singles as well as married people attending with or without their spouse. Have you ever found yourself laughing just a bit louder than the party at the table next to you in the restaurant? Perhaps you stifle telling a slightly off-color joke while you just sit there smiling while you try to behave? That you dance with abandon on the dance floor not really caring what others might be thinking? LOL
Yeah, well then WE ARE FOR YOU!
We have a bunch of smart, fun, funny people for you to make some new friendships with. Some of us are a bit off center (okay, so it's only me) but I like to take y'all along for the mischief and merriment!
We will have events at all different times, days and for different interesting venues. We also do some volunteer projects from time-to-time too.
I'm a big fan of exploring the different foods and neighborhoods of Chicago. I especially love what Chicago has to offer during the summertime. And if its free, its even better!!!
There are a ton of things that I want to do, and I thought it would be more fun to do with a group.
Some of the upcoming fun to expect? Tours... via boat, bus, or foot-walking tours.. Architectural tours, ghost and paranormal tours, visits to cultural events, see the city 's plethora of world class museums, wander through her ethnic 'neighborhoods', visit the zoos, catch the tunes, taste the cuisines...
See the fireworks from navy pier, or from aboard a dinner cruise... Check out the city's best pizzas, BBQ, brew pubs, dance clubs, gin joints, etc... You get the picture...
DINING OUT, DANCING, Music & Entertainment Events... Movies, Theater & Performance Art, Karaoke (when we feel the need to make a fool of ourselves)
Did you know Chicago has over 400 BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) restaurants? If you are new to this craze or have never heard of BYOB the gist of it is: if a restaurant doesn't have a liquor license they may allow patrons to bring their own alcohol, usually at little or no cost. We will be uncovering these hidden gems in this city while getting to know our neighbors. (not for you?)
Who says you need alcohol to have a good time? We also have events geared for those who want to get out and meet new and interesting people, take full advantage of all the great things Chicago has to offer, without it having to revolve around alcohol.
Activities will range from day and weekend events, to the nightlife that makes Chicago so great. I look forward to doing with newly found friends--YOU! Come out and join us in our little adventures as we scope out the cool finds this World-Class City and her surrounding areas have to offer while creating new friendships along the way. So join us, mingle with us and let me know what kinds of events you would like to see us plan for--I'm pretty flexible and like to change things up to keep things interesting... Many of the events are planned for the loop / downtown as well, mostly along el lines and cta bus / trolley routes.

Allowing is the key to unlocking the door to your well-being. Most of us try to control whatever we can and as a result, actually resist what has always been there. We truly do not understand allowing!
This group used to be called a Law of Attraction group. But I realized through my interactions with students and clients that you do not need someone to teach you about the Law of Attraction just like you do not need someone to teach you about the Law of Gravity!
What is helpful though, is an understanding of how to allow into our lives what we truly want....unconditional happiness, love and peace.
We search outside of ourselves for answers which are closer to you than your breath. We suffer from a STD...Spiritually Transmitted Disease and go from teacher to teacher and from technique to technique searching for the perfect answer to our lives.
Come explore the infinite possibilities!
Meet other local dive bar enthusiasts and find the best (and worst) Chicago dive bars. The idea behind this group is to seek out some of the most old-school, divey establishments with friendly folks who enjoy a cheap drink or two. We'll be visiting a range of dives in various neighborhoods based on recommendations and infamous reputations.
Meet other local writers and let creativity bloom! Come to the Writers Circle to review work, trade literary tips, make friends and have fun! All writers -- and should-be writers -- are welcome!
The best way to develop your skills as a writer is to practice, practice, and practice some more. Yet we all know that writing by yourself can be a lonely occupation, that misses out on the all-important motivation component. Therefore, it may help to join the writers circle--a band of peers who will read and give constructive feedback on each others' work and help keep the momentum going.
We started this group to show our prospective clients our work style! ;-)
This group has a great personality and lots of creative ideas when it comes to PHOTOGRAPHY.

If you are interested on becoming a SPONSOR for this group, please contact the organizer as well.
Models & Photographers:
We love our industry and what better way than to share with other members our experience, excitement, and projects!!!
We will do our best to make it affordable for everybody by meticulously searching for good deals, inexpensive locations, and working with sponsors that want to share their services with us.
Join us and we will have great time!
WELCOME EVERYBODY!!!
Meet others who love the classical music! Attend concerts and events at locations throughout Chicagoland!
We recently had a new leadership group more in. The first thing I did upon taking the Organizer role is choose a qualified and classical-savvy co-Orgonizer. The second thing I did was read the group reviews. I am going to endeavor to make every event I attend one in which the group is easy to find and there is social time planned before and/or after the concert.
Stay tuned, and please provide any ideas that come up! If you know of a new event, feel free to contact any organizer so they can designate an event coordinator and post it to the group.
The purpose of this group is to bring together Brazilians and Brazilians at heart.
Brazilians and anyone else interested in Brazil, i.e. people who love our country and our culture are welcome to join us. The main language of the group is Portuguese, but English always sneaks up on us here and there.
Let us show you a little bit of Brazilian hospitality! Attend our events and learn how to enjoy life Brazilian-style!

BREAKING NEWS Jan. 16: Francesco "Cheech" Barbaro wins the historic 2010 Quad-States Poker Mixed Games Championship at the Majestic Star Casino and Hotel. Barbaro faced 45 of the regions toughest veteran Mixed Games players and finally won it all with a 9-high straight in No-Limit Texas Holdem. For the complete story, still breaking across the poker wires, visit: http://www.ChicagoPokerNews.com
The Chicago Texas Holdem Meetup Group was proud to be a part of this incredible tournament, congratulations to all players especially the "Final Nine" who made Cheech earn the title: Jon Johnson (2nd), Dan Miller (3rd), Gary Lucht (4th), Donald Hines (5th), Alan Milesky (6th), Thomas Martin (7th), Michael Foster (8th), and Kevin Bohling (9th).
On behalf of a great city and a great venue, the Chicago Texas Holdem Meetup Group wishes all players the very best of success at the Quad-States Poker Grand Championships and we'll see you at the final table!

Chicago Japanese Language Meet Up group is to...
Practice speaking Japanese, find out more about the culture or just hang out and trade travel stories from Japan. It is a very relaxed group with speakers of all levels. To join our Meet Up group, please send your photo, self introduction and answer a few basic questions. Once you are accepted, you will have full access to all the member profiles and access to our discussion boards. You will see some of the events we offer below...
please find the ones that you enjoy
Some Meet Up events focus on practicing Japanese and are recommended for advanced speakers of Japanese. Stephanie (please see our leadership team) is hosting a monthly event called Japanese Speakers Meet Up - with a high level of language skill, and a good mixture of native Japanese speakers and non native speakers.
Some Meet Up events are related to cultural things. Goran (please see our leadership team again) hosts many events and he can show you a lot about the Chicago Cultural Center and other organizations. I would say "Kono hito ha Kao ga hiroi desu"
Some other Meet Up events focus on conversation with food and in the year of 2011, we are going to make some special plans to visit restaurants as well as possibly cooking together. Starting from the YAKINIKU Meet Up at Gyu Kaku in Feb., we will find more exciting plans for the future to post soon!
Also, a closed club is formed within this Meet Up called Oyaji no Nomikai - since the organizer is an Oyaji who shares interests with other gentlemen in the area : being a dad with a heritage learner of Japanese language in the family - so this one is available through invitation only.
Some other Meet Ups are hosted by various organizers here, and each has a different color and atmosphere/focus. Please contact to the host and make a reservation!
Also, new from this year, members can suggest and run a Meet Up. For now, having a organizer for a group and more than 3 members are needed to host a Meet Up. (If you do this, please let me know, and keep track of the attendance.)

Winter has arrived again!
We have stepped up our meetup trips for this season to include other resorts, additional pickup locations, overnight trips and one big trip west!
One day trips will go to either Devil's Head Resort, Cascade Mountain or Chestnut Mountain every weekend!
Overnight trips are scheduled for Devil's Head Resort and we are working on Granite Peak and Boyne!
We will also be running another trip out west this year to Jackson Hole! Date TBD, but it is going to be great!
The organizers for our group are staff and customers of Windy City Ski and enjoy the travel and sport that we offer here. We invite you to join us or encourage you to create an adventure of your own!
Our day-trips are all set to go every weekend. Everyone is welcome to come along by themselves or with family and friends. Our trips provide transportation and lifts for a very economical day on the slopes. Equipment and lessons are also available.
The meet-ups calendar will reflect dates that meet-up organizers will be hosting the trips. If there is something that we missed, drop us a line and we will update our program here. Lots of information here and on facebook too! We love to ski and snowboard with new and old friends and we look forward to meeting you!
Hope to ski/ride with you on the slopes soon!
My vision for this group is to bring everyone together from photographers to models, and makeup artists to fashion designers- working together and helping one another build portfolios, expand your network, help those with less experience, and schmooze with others in the industry. I want to welcome everyone from professionals to those who are just trying to get their foot in the door by organizing themed photography events and workshops in the Chicago Metro area. If you are a photographer, model, stylist, makeup and body-paint artist, fashion designers, and anyone else with a love for art, you are welcome to join and be a part of something fun a great for everyone!
The photographers, models, hair stylists, makeup artists and wardrobe designers are all being provided by others in the group, and in exchange for their work, we ask photographers to give prints or digital files of photos to those involved in making these events possible. We all want to help each other succeed and get ahead, and in order to keep these events cheap or free, I would like us all to work in harmony.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Network and meet others in the industry. Build your portfolio, share tricks and learn new ones. Everyone is helping everyone in this group.
MODELS: Meet and work with photographers, makeup artists and fashion designers on a professional photography shoot each month! Build your modeling portfolio without hiring expensive photographers. Learn about the industry and see if this is the career for you. We are all here to help each other.
MAKEUP AND HAIR: Get a chance to use your talent and build your portfolio. Experiment with new techniques, learn new tricks from others, meet and work with models and photographers in the industry. We will all work together to help us improve our skills and have fun doing it.
FASHION DESIGNERS: Here you have your models, hair and makeup, and photographers to help your garments become fashion. Have a chance to build your book and market your work.
This is a fun group of people. No equipment will be provided for anyone, so please come prepared. I also welcome any professionals who are interested in hosting workshops at the events. Please contact me with your ideas and information. I have been a photographer for 6 years and I want to be a part of a support network that is there to help those in this industry for professionals and amateurs. I love fashion photography, and I really look forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome to
SALUT! -- here's to many great adventures together!
This group is comprised of women of all ages and races. We are here for friendship, outreach, support and possibly more, although our main intention is not to make love connections. Our goal is to forge new and long lasting friendships.
We will schedule a variety of events ranging from dinners, movies, night clubs, brunches, festivals, sports outings, etc. This group especially welcomes women who are bisexual or bicurious who don't know other women like themselves, and was created with these women in mind. You cannot be Male or in a couple looking for threesomes. Also, we will not be accepting married (heterosexual) women or any girl under the age of 18. Please be friendly and open minded and not into labels.
The Good Times Institute (GTI) is a Meetup Group that engages in a diverse mix of fun group activities in Chicago, including but not limited to happy hours, brunches, dinners, nights out, parties, karaoke, concerts, movie get-togethers, sports watching, outdoor outings, and any other great opportunities to take advantage of the exceptional social, cultural, and entertainment amenities that Chicago offers as a world-class city.
Originally named the Happy Hour Institute and founded in September 2010 as a spin-off of the Creative Social Club (CSC) -- the largest multi-disciplinary, eclectic Meetup Group dedicated to the arts in Chicago -- this group was intended initially to permit us to organize bourgie drinking Meetups that might be frowned upon by other creative types. Now, with its expanded scope beyond happy hours, GTI is our blank canvas for organizing Meetups unconstrained by the necessary "creative angle" required by the CSC. While there may be some overlap and occassional cross-postings between the two groups, GTI is a stand-alone Meetup Group with its own unique objectives and activities. The Creative Social Club is creatively oriented while the Good Times Institute exists for the express sole purpose of having a good time.
Nevertheless, the GTI and CSC share many characteristics. Both groups endeavor to be "well-organized and relaxed", with "fun, friendly, smart people to be around", as described by one of the CSC's group reviews. Members tend to be smart, sociable, laid back, and happy people. We try to do things just a little differently from other Meetup Groups – more personal, less formal/reverent, unconventional, and innovative/risk-taking. Membership is FREE as Meetup is our labor of love; there is no special talent or interest needed to join other than the ability to pay your tab. Also, because of our experience in organizing Meetups with the CSC's starving artists in mind, we are similarly cost-conscious in organizing Meetups for the GTI.
Welcome to the Good Times Institute!
A group that brings professionals together over a few glasses of wine. Meetups are comprised of wine tastings, wine events, and less formal gatherings for socializing over wine and hors d'evours.
This Group is for you if:
* You are a wine lover
* You are developing a taste for wine
* You want to learn more about wine
Please before joining make sure you have a clear photo of yourself (we like to see who's joining!)

Ladies! Is your best friend a guy? OR Has your boyfriend and his crew become your social life? Are you craving some girl time? If you're looking to get out and meet new female friends who have more to say than "Oh MY GOD, I love your shoes! Um, where's the bathroom? AND... Oh sorry, was that your boyfriend?" Welcome to the Dirty Girls' Social Club - Northside edition!
We are the kind of women who think dirty jokes are always in good taste, fix our own plumbing (OR TRY TO), occasionally belch and laugh about it, know the difference between being dirty and skanky and aren't opposed to getting into a little dirt and mud while having fun. A Guy's Girl who still wants to go out and be totally girly sometimes.
If you're on the Northside, or come here often, and want to get together for drinks, dinner, movies, games and a little trouble with other young women 24-36ish then come join us.
You are single or not, vivacious, often described as a Guys' Girl, value female friendship, don't take life too seriously, laugh easily and occasionally feel the need to say what's on your mind. Ok... Always. If this sounds like you then honey you will fit right in!
This Meetup group is designed to provide opportunities for people who are new to Chicago and surrounding areas to meet other people while enjoying the rich culture and fun activities that this amazing city has to offer! I can't wait to meet each and every one of you!

This group is open to singles from all around the Chicago area and suburbs, because we'd like to see events scheduled throughout the Chicago area. In order to accomplish that goal, we're looking for assistant organizers who can suggest places to meet or activities local to their area. Please contact the organizer if interested. There is nothing better than connecting with people who share a similar vision and passion. The primary focus is to take beautiful pictures in an environment that continually expands our knowledge and broadens our horizons.
We're open to seasoned professionals and newcomers, both on the photographer and the modeling side. If that sounds like something you would enjoy then don't hesitate and join us right away.
We try to meet a couple times a month. We share our experiences with shyness and social anxiety, and enjoy general conversation as well, in a nice, supportive environment.
This meet up consists of industry professionals that have been involved in the development of software for five or more years.
The Software Development Community is an informal and interactive group of professionals that have a passion for software development, thus are interested in employing best practices and sharing their knowledge and experiences.

Meetings will range in topics from requirements, design, analysis, architecture, development, programming, testing, implementation, etc...

Sometimes, we'll be offered free passes to movie screenings, but most of the time it's your job to pick up your ticket, food & beverage selections. We might entertain going to someone's HOME THEATER, and in that case it is at the sole-discretion of the Organizer and host as to who may attend. All other times, it is the decision of the Organizer and/or Asst Organizers if a member/guest will be permitted to join in our activities.
We have a Discussion and Message board if you are looking for a buddy to travel along with you on individual private excursions too.
We go to see movies, sometimes see plays, We EAT, We Chat... It's about having fun!
*We hope to be doing some movie rental viewing while chowing down--after either ordering take-out, delivery, or creating our own meals (this if a few people in a few different areas volunteer to open up their homes for use as well) If you can host your location, please email me with the specifics... thanks in advance!
Unless otherwise specified, this group is intended for mature adults over the age of 21. There will be some viewings with the intention of having families attend; usually for a animated flick, on the weekend with the hopes of having divorced parents with visitation rights able to meet others in similar situations as well as those more traditional families.
Let me conclude by saying, WE ARE SOME OF THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE WHO ATTEND MEETUP EVENTS!!! Yes, you will feel included, yes you will be encouraged to join into the conversations... Yes, you will be introduced around....
(in the process of selecting new meetup events for the group; if you have some suggestions or would like to volunteer either your location for a cookout, a culinary training session, your home theater for viewing of flicks, or your time to help host an event, please use the Contact Organizer link once you join)
Note: Promoters, we do accept free blocks of tickets if you are interested in promotion/marketing of your films.
Our goal here is to help Portuguese students to master the language through practicing during our meetings and also through all the information shared on our message board.

You may also be wondering what we'll be doing off season. Well, some of us get together to rollerblade, golf, play soccer, hangout at the beach, and most importantly PARTY!! Everyone's welcome! (even skiers!)
MEETUP Guidelines
1. Please use your real name. If worried about privacy or whatever, use only your first name because some stores ask for the list of the members for special benefits.
2. If you've been inactive for over a year, you'll be removed.
3. We also have a facebook group page if you have a fb account. search for "Windy City Boarders"!!!
LIVE CHAT too! I am passionate about art and some friends and I are looking to learn more about it. We are going to check out all of the great art galleries at least once a month in River North, the West Loop, Wicker Park, and anywhere else.
This Meetup Group is welcome and open to all who are residents of and visitors to Chicago. Our purpose is to meet with others who have an interest in and take enjoyment in appreciating art. The benefits are to enjoy and learn more about art, art galleries, and meet others with similar interests. By analyzing art and thinking about what the purpose of it is, you gain an increased sense of awareness and accuracy overall.
This is also a place where artists can make contacts with the people who appreciate art!
Let me conclude by saying,
WE ARE SOME OF THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE WHO ATTEND MEETUP EVENTS!!! Yes,
you will feel included, yes you will be encouraged to join into the conversations... Yes, you
will be introduced around....
Please join us for lunch during your workweek! We will meet once or twice a month in the Loop, River North, Greektown and other places convenient to the central business district. Whether you visit with us once or many times, you're sure to meet some new and familiar faces. Most importantly, you'll get away from your desk and enjoy a well-deserved break in your day!
Meet other local Agile enthusiasts interested in sharing experiences in Agile & Lean project management practices, tools, and coaching and teaching techniques.
You can take us outta Philly, but you can't take the Philly out of us! We're diehard Eagles fans who cheer on our team week in and week out, all while eating a cheesesteak, drinking a cold one, and yelling out an occasional E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!! You don't want to miss all the fun and game action with so many fellow fans!
And chances are, if you're an Eagles fan, you're probably a Phillies and Flyers fan too! If you are, don't worry, spring equals Phillies, so we get together for those games a few times a month as well. Wear your red and support those World Champions! And now we have cause to celebrate the Eastern Conference Champion Flyers!! This run is too good to pass up!
...all at Mad River Bar & Grille, our home away from home!
We play various strategy boardgames, also called "Eurogames" or "designer games". If you aren't familiar with that terminology, you may recognize a few of the most popular titles, like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Dominion, Ticket to Ride, Puerto Rico, Agricola, Ra, and Race for the Galaxy. We are extremely happy to have beginners! Whether you are new to our group, or new to Euro games (or both!), we will help you to find a game that you will enjoy :)
If you have a specific game you wish to play, bring it along. Otherwise, you'll likely have a broad choice of games to learn and play because several members usually bring lots of different types of games ranging from "light and frothy" to "heavy and thoughtful", with many choices in between. Most members are very happy to teach you any game you want to learn.
John and I own a fairly large game collection, and we are willing to bring MOST games to Meetups (we generally will not bring those that are exceptionally large, long, and/or very rare). You can view our collection here. If you want us to bring something, just mention it in your RSVP or contact me directly.
Please do not post advertisements on this site without contacting me first.

Meet other local people who are interested in walking for fitness! We'll meet up to walk around Oak Park/River Forest/Forest Park and on local trails. We've also been known to do a little hiking, biking, eating and drinking as a group.
To lose weight and to keep it off, you need to get moving. Walking at a moderate pace for 30-60 minutes burns stored fat and can build muscle to speed up your metabolism. Walking an hour a day is also associated with cutting your risk of heart disease, breast cancer, colon cancer, diabetes and stroke. Isn't it time to work 1-hour walks into your busy lifestyle?
This is a group for people who love cinema and love talking about it...
Don't be intimidated about your level of trivia knowledge as a movie geek and don't be bashful about your favorite genre choices. We'll take an eclectic approach to the aesthetics of cinema.
Meetups can either be held to see a movie and discuss it afterwards, discuss movies without screening one, or attending one and discussing it at a later date in a separate Meetup...
This is a group that meets to WRITE, to socialize, and to offer encouragement and inspiration to others as we practice our craft. We're focused on the process, not the product. Writing can be a solitary activity...but it doesn't have to be.
This is a group where the focus is actually on DOING the work as opposed to critiquing already finished works. I found so many groups on meetup focused on the critique, but none focused on motivating each other to get the writing done. So if you need motivation to get started, set a writing schedule, keep at it, or finish that novel, this group is for you.
We meet on Thursdays and occasionally on weekends on the north side of Chicago. Feel free to come to work on your novel, play, short story, poem, or just journal or use a writing prompt. Writers of every level and genre are welcome. Bring your laptop and your ipod and we'll all buckle down and get some writing done silently for an hour and a half. Then we'll close our laptops and take some time to socialize and have some coffee or a drink depending on where we are. If you'd like to read a bit of what you're working on, feel free to share! But you don't have to share unless you wish to. You're also welcome to team up with other members to edit each other's work on your own time, but again, we will not be doing critiques as a group. If you have venue suggestions, let me know.

Well here is a place where you can connect with other women , and hopefully make some new friendships!
We go on outings together and give "shout outs" to others trying to open up lines of communication, because even though we immensely enjoy the men in our lives, sometimes only a girlfriend can truly understand us.
So here's to all the giggles about boys, mapping out our dreams and aspirations, and the camaraderie we can find. cheers~

Welcome my fellow single lesbians! Are you lonely? Do you walk down Michigan Ave and wonder where are all the others like me? Well here we are! And we are going to make Chicago our town!! Join this group to meet other single lesbians for social events, support, friendship, dating, and community.
LIVE CHAT too! Have you lived here for a while but never had the chance to get out and see the things and places in Chicago that visitors from other cities have seen?
New in town and want an excuse to check some "must-see" things off the list? Just looking for something fun to do but didn't really want to do it all by yourself?
Be a tourist in our own city! I had always spent the time to check out other city's offerings when I traveled on business or for pleasure, and about 10 years ago, thought, "gee this is fun" when I was out and about showing around some of my guests from out-of-town. Since then have made it my goal to check out Chicagoland--not only as a native, but from the perspective of a visitor as well...
I'm a
big fan of exploring the different foods and neighborhoods of Chicago. I especially love what Chicago has to offer during the summertime. And if its free, its even better!!!
There are a ton of things that I want to do, and I thought it would be more fun to do with a group.
Some of the upcoming fun to expect?
Tours... via boat, bus, or foot-walking tours.. Architectural tours, ghost and paranormal tours, visits to
cultural events, see the city 's plethora of world class
museums, wander through her
ethnic 'neighborhoods', visit the zoos, catch the
tunes, taste the
cuisines...
See the
fireworks from navy pier, or from aboard a dinner cruise... Check out the
city's best pizzas, BBQ, brew pubs, dance clubs, gin joints, etc... You get the picture...
Be a tourist in your own city!
I look forward to doing it with new found friends--YOU! Come out and
join us in our lil adventures as we scope out the cool finds this World-Class City and her surrounding areas have to offer while creating new friendships along the way.
Just so you know--
WE ARE SOME OF THE FRIENDLIEST PEOPLE WHO ATTEND MEETUP EVENTS!!! Yes,
you will feel included, yes you will be encouraged to join into the conversations... Yes,
you will be introduced around...
I hope to see you all soon. If you have any ideas, feel free to email me.

We are Poly-Under-40, a social network for young adults exploring polyamory or dealing with their individual poly situations. If you are a young adult looking for a supportive, nurturing place to learn about the poly lovestyle, meet other polyamorists, or talk about dealing with multi-partner relationships, then we would love to meet you.
Poly-Under-40 was founded because we believe that it is extremely beneficial, if not critical, for young people living in non-monogamous relationships to have a peer group with similar life situations with whom they can socialize and discuss this critical aspect of their unconventional lives.
Heres how we define ourselves,
Polyamory: Having multiple intimate loving relationship with the full knowledge and consent of everyone involved.
Under 40: Do you remember the 70's? Neither do we!
Chicago: The best city in the world.
We host social events and discussion meetings in downtown Chicago and nearby surrounding areas (those accessible by public transit).
Most of our members are also active members of other local poly groups, especially the Chicago Polyamory Meetup Group, http://www.meetup.com/Chicago-Polyamory/ and active cross-membership and participation is highly encouraged.
Want to learn more about Polyamory?

We hope to answer these questions through conversations with local experts and other community members.
